Today's been the first chance I've had to get back into the kitchen and have the opportunity to rustle up anything, so upon returning to realm of the Aga I decided to made a vat of heavenly Spiced Caramel Popcorn courtesy of Smitten Kitten after purchasing another typically misleading product (PURPLE corn kernels! Now, I don't know about you, but in my book, purple kernels would create crazy purple popcorn. Sadly this is not the case. Another false advertising misdemeanor to sit alongside the jars of unused Vanilla pods and healthy, no-sugar, hippy peanut butter. Which is just ridiculous.)
Upon the pantry raid, I chose to make a few choice additions, including smoked Paprika instead of the Cayenne, just a tiny preference, I dig that 'Walkers Prawn Cocktail' flavor even on my corn, man! And also one cup of muscovado dark sugar within the three of white, just to deepen the whole affair. Turned out pretty damn good, and shall be devoured as a canapé on Saturday.
Makes a couple of big jugs, always a rare thing to have round our house.
